Welcome to Rufous!  Hi there - Well, we have done it finally!! we adopted Rufous (formaly Bow) via LRRSE almost 2 weeks ago and he is settling in pretty well. Already walking nicely on a halti harnes which is brilliant and a surprise to me after he acted like something demented the first few days. He loves everyone and is really good with other dogs. He is learning to ignore the cat (thankfully) now. He loves water so it typical lab. His appetite is good and doesn't like eating much in between meals?? Doesn't get on the furniture?? Someone has brought him up well me thinks..Loves toys - balls etc. Recall a little rusty but sure that will improve. Can only fault him on rushing off when he sees boys playing football etc. Hmmm, have to work on that one. Kala is a little jealous of him the last few days but am giving her extra cuddles at the mo to help her out. Other than that he is a lovely dog, a red fox colour. He is 4 on Christmas Eve and I just thought you all might like to meet him...Wish us luck!! I will admit it has been really hard work physically but worth it all = thanks to Lesley & Julie (hope this linky thingy works!) Have also added a great shot of him on the beach...

Oh he is lovely - the picture of him and Kala is so funny - the look on her face says it all - who does he think he is!?

Beautiful piccies - and both dogs have lovely coats. Kayla is gleaming and it looks like your boy was pretty well looked after, as you say
what had Rufous seen on the beach??

Rufous & Kala Hi. Rufous was intent on a ball that my OH had in his hand - just waiting for it to be thrown...Pretty switched on dog actually but then think all labs are. Lots going on in those brains. Kala still worries if he gets told off about the cat which, is concerning so we are having to temper our corrections very carefully but good news is that yesterday and so far today, he has just looked at the cat and then chose to ignore her. So with luck things should settle down in the next month or so. They do both have good coats which, I can only put down to Wainrights Complete food along with some sardines now and then and vegs when we have them. Kala also likes her daily helping of left over porridge! Couple of brushing sessions a week and lots of exercise/water play. Think we may be going senile getting another lab but it really is so enjoyable - most of the time!
