This is Charlie Brown and Aideen
I am hoping this has worked and you can see my beautiful but naughty new additions Charlie Brown and Aideen. Charlie is modelling his Easter bonnet showing just what a handsome easy going boy he is  . Hope this has worked and you like my troublesome two

Hi Julie, great to see them both on the forum, hope charlie is getting better, I was horrified to hear from you about this attack. It really wasnt fair that Charlie just sniffing his own garden gate should get so badly attacked from this passing staff. Keep up the good work with them and well done you for taking on these two at the same, two naughty mad dogs who had never lived together.....I thought you was mad!! Well done, they are a credit to you. Bye for now Tracy

Hi Julie They look beautiful! If I made my boys wear a hat with fluffy chicks they'd report me to the authorities!! Although, Dex did wear reindeer ears at Xmas and a Scooby Doo hat at Boney's birthday party last year. (He#s a patient boy, my Dex) Aideen looks as goregeous as ever, bless her. That's terrible about the staffy attacking poor Charlie - is he OK about the garden gate and about other dogs going past? If you think he might get grumpy with passing dogs in future, you might need to feed him some treats whenever people with dogs walk by to help break any bad associations. That aside, how are they getting on these days?

Hello again Elaine at the moment Charlie wants to take on the world. He is a bit confused because being behind a gate he never saw what attacked him he just knew something had hold of his nose. Also we have had to change our walking route (which means we meet more dogs and i am unable to let him off the lead) because up the hills where we normally go has lots of undergrowth and i don't want him to snag his nose and pull his stitches. He has always been more bouncy on the lead and when we go up the hills and he is off he is great and his recall is brilliant. We also don't meet many people up the hills so hopefully we will be able to go up again soon. As with regard to the gate he was a bit weary but i have sat by it with him and let him know things are ok we have also added a new bit on to the bottom so the half inch gap is now gone. He has been up and had a sniff and seems ok. I think it may have affected Aideen as well because she now barks at everything that passes while she is outside and also while indoors. Hopefully this hasn't set them back too much they were just starting to get really settled. :?

Hi Julie I'd try to distract Aideen away from looking out of the window or barking at passers-by in the garden because it could end up being a terribly annoying habit for you. She hopefully wouldn't feel the need to do it if you scattered her dinner round the garden for her to root out (if she doesn't argue with Charlie over it) or if you keep her busy with a Kong etc. Hopefully it wouldn't take long to break a habit that isn't long-standing. otherwise you run the risk of her running up and down the boundaries barking - her collie blood would make chasing things seem rewarding to her and if she thinks she's chased them away (because in her mind they went right on past your house without stopping) then it could become a real pain for you. just a thought, hopefully all will be well. you are doing a brilliant job with them and they look so gorgeous :D

Oh what an awful thing to happen , poor Charlie i'm sure with a lot of love and care you can get him back on track. I hope you reported it , it could be a small child next time. Kind regards Sue. :(

having seen one of the other posts titled the little and large show i thought i would have a go showing the difference in size between Charlie and Aideen my very own little and large(i couldn't get them to pose so beautifully as the other little and large did so enlisted the help of my son) i thought i would also try and show you Charlie's nose now that it is starting to heal its not so nasty now and i think he will be just as handsome as ever.

julie h- 05-14-2006

have just seen that you can't really see his nose but you can trust me it does look better and at least it is still there

Elaine- 05-14-2006

he's sooo handsome :D . Goodness what long legs!!! Is he part Dane?

julie h- 05-14-2006

They think he might be lab/lurcher he has got a slim body like a lurcher and a very expressive long curly tail. He is also extremely clumsy as he has enormous lab feet and such long legs he has bowled us over in the garden many a time  you have to listen out for the thud of paws when he is off lead because he gets carried away by the speed and length of his legs Bless him

julie h- 07-28-2006

just thought i'd post a picture of Charlie brown now that his nose is all healed you can see what a handsome boy he is

sue- 07-28-2006
