Say Hello to Finn!
Well we picked up Finn on Friday! He is doing great! Willow has graciously accepted him despite the fact the tramples all over her while she is sleeping, nicks all her toys and is gradually eating his way through them - she has grumbled at him a couple of times but as I type this, they are both laying on her bed with all of the toys around them. It couldn't have gone any better and we are so proud of Willow. Obviously early days yet and we wouldn't trust leaving him alone without putting him back in is crate! Which I have to say, he loves! He turfed all the fluffy blankets out of the way for the first couple of hours and then thought, actually, I quite like them and by 10 o'clock Friday night, was upside down, fast asleep with his little back legs running for England! His recall is fab so we can already let him off the lead which is a godsend as he has so much energy to let go of! I took him on his first real road walk yesterday and he wasn't too bothered by the traffic and is walking to heel pretty well. We've had 2 tinkles indoors only in 5 days - only because of excitment so all in all, he has settled really well. No doubt once his confidence comes out, we are in for some trouble!

Oh he's so gorgeous Lisa :D Glad to hear he's doing so well. My Poppy's dad was said to be a black cocker. I wonder if he was as handsome as Finn And perfect recall! Lucky, lucky you :D :D I wish I could say the same for my monsters  How old is he now?

Hi Elaine - we don't take any of the credit for his perfect recall - that's all down the Chris, the Trainer, who had him before us! Fingers crossed we don't muck it all up! He is 11 months old now - so pretty much fully grown - may bulk up a bit - scrawny little thing! These Gun Dog people keep them really lean don't they - oops - he's tried a tiny bit of the crust of my toast already! I am bad!
