Poop on the streets!!
I was wondering what everyone else does when confronted by a pile when walking your beloved/s around the block!! I was so sick of picking up all and sundries excreta (dogs only) that I went around all my neighbours with dogs and asked them if they scooped. Of course everyone said that they did so I praised them and left a box of bags each. I had to wait a few weeks as was in hospital but once on the prowl again I was amazed. Not a poop in sight. We are now a poop free block with a sign to shame others who venture in so I'd say it was worthwhile. I suspect that the personal touch had a lot to do with this as my neighbours all know me form Neighbourhood Watch. Cathy

I live in a rural area so tend not to worry about 'field poos'. If I go to a park in the next village - where they are threatening to ban dogs if owners keep leaving poo behind - then I do pick up stuff I find...but under pro-*test*-('")! I take the view that if it gets left there, we might all get banned. In my local town, the council gives away poo bags for free, which I think is brilliant. And in another village nearby, someone has got loads of these bags and attached them to the fence for people to take and use. You never see poo left on the ground there. I think your 'patrol' was a great idea, Cathy! :D
