'LABRADOR LOVERS PARTY'
'THE LABRADOR LOVERS PARTY' Just to let you know we are holding the 'Labrador Lovers Party' on October 4th 2008. I know it's late this year but Peter's sister died plus we have had other family tragedies to cope with. Then recently our very much beloved rescued Labrador Bertie died at 13 and we feel as though our hearts have been ripped out. So I really didn't have the inclination to organise a party plus we had to find a new venue. Well we have it's great everything we need big playing field and if it rains large in door hall perfect. The venue is at Denmead near Waterlooville in Hampshire. I realise for some of you it's a long journey but it's only one day a year and it is our biggest fund raising event of the year and it is so difficult to find suitable venues plus you cannot please everyone! The party starts at 10-30am - 4pm approx. If any of you can do anything to help I would be so very grateful i.e. bake cakes run stalls etc. We have many stalls games for the dogs including agility coarse with prizes of rosettes medals and goodie bags for the dogs Awards to specific rescue dogs plus much more so do try and come along and support the Charity all money raised goes towards helping the dogs of which we have more and more coming in. If you can help email me on jean.henman@gmail.com phone 01243 605948 or post an answer on this forum. Those of you who are members of 'The Labrador Lovers Club' will be receiving your invitations soon. Do try and come along it's such a happy fun filled day. Please help in anyway you can. It's for the precious dogs. Many thanks. Jean Henman. Area Co-ordinator L.R.R.S.E. :D

:( Oh dear, such a sad time for you. The Lab Lovers Party sounds as though it will be a fun day out and we will def try to get along. Will you be posting directions later on please? Hope that this raises lots of money for the charity on behalf of the dogs. :P

So sad to hear about the sadness you have been having over the last few months. It sounds a great day and we will see if we are able to make it if we have a free day and if we can will be willing to give a hand out if I can.

So sorry to hear of your recent losses. It can be hard at times. To cheer you up I bumped into a black Lab X yesterday that looked vaguely familiar. I hadn't rehomed him but knew the family well. Sam looks so good, luscious black silky fur and so healthy that I really didn't recognise him. Waterlooville isn't too far as the crow flies so Nancy and I hope to be there even if she is still on crutches. Don't ask! There's always something going on with one of us. I hit the big 60 on Monday and didn't feel a thing. Take care everyone, Cathy.x
