Hello! :D Well after being a member now for a day or so i thought i'd introduce 'us'! I'm patricia and i'm a mum to two children 7 and 9, a wife to cliffy and an adopted 'mum' to Tia (formerly Suzie)! We've had her for 4 weeks and she seems to be settled in her new home. She's a very bright labX and is a joy to have. I would have posted a piccie but im not terribly 'technically minded' and all my attempts have failed! :?

Delighted to hear Tia is doing well. I'm guessing she's enjoying being an 'only' dog - or perhaps she just didn't like being Suzie!

Hello,if you down load your photo to photobucket the copy and paste the link on your page here-that should work.

These should be images of Tia! In answer to your comment frump, it was explained to us that she had a few problems so we were expecting the worst( but prepared, my much missed old dog had huge problems after the death of her litter mate. But with the help of a behavourist from southampton uni we helped her through them, and believed we could use what we allready knew to help Tia. ) However apart from snaffling a box of 12 eggs from the side in the kitchen( not a pleasant atmosphere  in our house that pm!) we have had little disruption. I wonder if sometimes a complete change is good, as the dog has to totally relearn what is expected in the new house. That last comment is just a thought and in no way meant to offend anyone by the way I don't want to loose my new friends before i've made them :) !

She's lovely, how old do you think she is?
BlackandYellow- 05-23-2007
Hello and Welcome - Tia is truly beautiful!
It is very well recommended you change your dog's name from what I have read - it takes away any negativity associated with the previous name.
Willow was previously named Wendy but we think it was just given to her in the Rescue Centre - she never answered to it anyway so whilst there is nothing wrong with the name Wendy - we prefer less human names! (Willow is named after a toy cottage name I found in the Argos catalogue!)

Hello again, well lrrse believe she's about 18mnths, she came over from ireland @ about 6mnths.
Erm bit of a confession about the name... first we had a couple of lab/collie littermates called Whiskey and Soda, then we aquired an unwanted cat who we called Malibu ( or Boo, to us) sadly they are all gone now  .
We now have 2 gerbils Gin and Tonic and of course Tia( know that well known liquer?) I think you can probably see the pattern........I still think its a rather pretty name though, it's origins will be our little secret eh?
