Basil and teddy go to heaven
 Hello everyone, just to let you know that Basil and teddy passed away today. Basil had recently developed Megaoesophagus and despite all the efforts of the Royal Veterinary hospital and our local Vets, he couldn't recover and was put to sleep. Although our hearts are broken he's now enjoying himself in a better place. Thanks to Jean and Peter for giving us 10 wonderful years with a very special friend. Nicola and Mike

Dear Nicola and Mike So sorry to have to read about Basil on this site. Special thoughts go out to you as we know he was a very special dog. :( :( He was a very special dog to South East and Central . I will pass this news on to Margaret because I know Basil had a place in her heart as well as mine. I remembered when he arrived so pathetic at my kennels. Take care thinking of you Sheila

Oh I am so sorry to read this. Basil was such a special dog and he won the hearts of everyone he met. He will be at the bridge now and I have asked my Scott (also at the bridge) to show him around. He will be well looked after there. If you have not already seen it, please look at this link to Rainbow Bridge. It gave me great comfort when I lost my Scott, and I hope it will do the same for you. http://www.indigo.org/rainbowbridge_ver2.html

Dear Nicola & Mike We are so sorry to hear darling Basil has left us. We knew it was coming but it's still a shock. What a brave, brave boy he was for all of his life. The two of you gave him such a wonderful loving home and so much care. We have many memories of him through the years which we will carry in our hearts forever. I have a lovely photo taken at the last Labrador Lovers party with me that I will treasure always. May he now be running free and without pain at the rainbow bridge he will have many, many friends including our beloved Jake. You were a STAR Basil. Will talk later Nicola. Our love as ever.
